We're currently renting a house in an English countryside town, so I can't make
any changes to the house. This is a shame, as I can't put ethernet throughout the house.
This hasn't been a major drawback, this server, the mail server, a SQL server and the
laptops have been connecting to the internet via a wireless lan access point (the x-box
remains hardwired to a switch). Now in my experience the Netgear WLAN APs
isn't that reliable,...
Don Box is playing
witch finder general with
the 3Leaf boys.
They raise good points about MSDE
though. It is a royal pain to install and secure. If Microsoft themselves
can't manage to ship MSDE with products and lock it down (i.e. give it an SA password) how are the
rest of us supposed to cope? I've quite happily recommended MSDE to people who want to learn how a
"proper" SQL...
Microsoft are well known for their product evangelists,
epitomised by the infamous video
of Steve Ballmer "dancing". Europe, however, seems to be lacking product evangelists.
Why is this? Are European developers too cynical to get excited about software? Those of us
who fit the geek stereotype get excited about t-shirts, desk weights and squishy "thingies", so
why won't Microsoft provide us with product evangelists?
I must admit I'm biased. Having spent 1.5 years in a vertical market,...
Fyodor, creator of the foremost security tool
nmap was suprised to see nmap in Matrix
Reloaded. However it appears from the
screen shots it appears that far into the future IPv6 still isn't
implemented. The lack of migration won't help China, who are
running out of IP addresses right now.
So EasyGroup and their attention hungry CEO
Stelios are branching into a new venture,
EasyCinema in the cultural icon of the UK, Milton Keynes. Pricing
according to demand is nothing new to EasyGroup, EasyJet have been doing it for
years and if it brings savings who am I to argue? What I do object to are the
puff press pieces complaining about how EasyCinema...
One good thing about being in the ranks of the unemployed is avoiding the
daily trudge into and the daily battle that is London.
Aside from the lack of pollution, more money in my
bank account, no early mornings and avoiding the 90 minutes on the train...
Reloaded sucked. Not just
minor suckage, but full blown suckage. The original Matrix was a fun film,
nothing deep (although it pretended), but some interesting effects, a pretty
good story line (even if the virtual reality angle has been explored before)
and Keanu Reeves proving yet again he
can't act. The latex clad girls were quite attractive though, and seeing
Carrie-Anne Moss in that outfit on an IMAX
screen was a highlight of a conference I spoke at in the US.
The latest outing had nothing, it appears as a simple excuse to use
"bullet time", have a car chase and throw...
Romeo and Juliet - The Modern Interpretation
Romeo321: But, soft! What light through yonder window breaks? It is the east, and Juliet is the sun.
Juliet202: hey babe
Romeo321: It is my lady, O, it is my love!

Juliet202: so wassup? are you still pissed at your folks?
Romeo321: O, speak again, bright angel! For thou art as to this night, being o'er my head as is a winged messenger of heaven.
Juliet202: u ok? youre acting funnyy
Juliet202: oops, funny
Romeo321: How silver-sweet sound lovers' tongues by night, like softest music to attending ears!
Juliet202: romeo
Romeo321: My dear?
Juliet202: u need to stay off the crack
Romeo321: Love...
