AAC Clarifications

One of my favourite mac heads (damned hippies) objects to me insinuating the iTunes format as Apple unique. I did state that the iTunes format is AAC which is the mpeg4 audio format. MPEG4 does provide a standardised interface for DRM but you will note that the specification states "With this interface, proprietary control systems can be easily amalgamated with the standardized part of the decoder". Lessons learnt from digital music
