Using the DPA to "opt-out"

I'm currently persuing Evesham Micros after they spammed a scraped email address. As part of this I emailed the Data Protection Registrar to see what legal action I could take. The Guardian "reviews" the E200

TechDigest reports that The Guardian has a small review on the E200. I find it hard to believe the Guardian used it for any length of time, none of the problems, aside from Bluetooth eating battery, are mentioned. I can't picture his Billness using it either, the usual Microsoft ethos of "eat your own dogfood" (i.e. using the stuff you are developing) would have hopefully brought out...
