So DeveloperDeveloperDeveloper is done and dusted. It was the first time I've given a presentation on how to hack web sites; I now await the results of the speaker score sheets. As if presenting wasn't stressful enough <g>. Unfortunately I didn't have as much time for questions and answers as I would have wished, but the wireless mic was rather fun. For those that are interested and can't wait till my presentation appears on the conference web site (Craig is stuck in a hotel with just a modem connection) I've uploaded the powerpoint deck and sample code.

Remember don't try this at home, either attempting SQL injection, cookie corruption or worst of all writing code like that contained in the samples, it is badly coded. On purpose. Honestly, it was on purpose.

Microsoft did give us some speaker gifts, including a pair of Microsoft branded socks, a Microsoft hot drink cup for drinking on the move (we also had a pair of socks and two mugs to give away in each talk. The socks caused amusement, I have no idea why <g>), a Microsoft branded golf umbrella, a nifty collaspable USB extension cable and a CD holder. Inside the CD holder was a USB light (very cool) and a combined knife, bottle opener, can opener, ruler and metal pick all in a handy credit sized pack). The socks are best though. The wife was most amused padding around the house in them. I wasn't expecting anything at all, it was a nice surprise.

[16-05-05] Guy Smith-Ferrier points out that as the cable as two connections are the same sex it's not an extension cable, it's something cooler. It's a data transfer cable. Plug each end into computers running XP and lo cheap network for data transfer. Nifty!
