You'd think that technical companies would know better than to spam. You'd really hope that companies who make software for developers would know better than to spam developers. But no, ScaleOut Software has done just that. My inbox this morning has recieved an email sent to the contact address I only publish on this website, web@idunno.org. The email invites me to visit them at Booth 944 in Boston next week. Unfortunately I'm not at TechEd (and if I was going to attend one, it would be the European version) so I can't track down Gregory Darmohray, the muppet who sent the email, to tell him exactly how I feel about using spam to market their product. So, if you're going to TechEd why don't you do it for me?
Oh, and Gregory, assuming you see this "If you prefer not to receive messages like this from ScaleOut Software Inc., please reply to this message with “Remove” in the subject line." is not acceptable. I didn't opt in, so I sure as hell am not going to jump through your hoops to opt out.
