Just to tease Gary, who posted his DDD feedback scores I can’t let that past, especially as it looks like he’s trying to overtake my role as main speaker and work (Gary, there’s only room for one overfed ego my boy!)

Overall Knowledge Presentation Content
4.3 4.8 4.4 4

To those who fed back my thanks; but there is a point to this rather than teasing Gary, the detailed feedback is useful. Three people filled in comments section;

Well presented, useful, filled in some gaps in my knowledge. Good style, good level of detail.

I have been intrigued by this topic since Barry covered it at WebDD (sorry Barry I was in another session) glad to get the opportunity to see it here at DDD. I enjoy Barry’s sessions and he always manages to balance humour with great technical content.

Good level of information, the speaker really knew what he was talking about. making sure by the end everyone also knew what the aim of Information Card space was.

All good ego stroking stuff (yes I realise feeding my ego more is dangerous). As I said in my podcast with Craig Murphy the written feedback is more useful, at least to me, and especially if you didn’t like something. At the IMTC someone blogged that my presentation was very simplistic (it was, it’s supposed to be otherwise you can start wandering into interesting legal territory and that I wasn’t as funny as I thought I was, which is probably true, but it’s a way to ward off nerves!). Normally you don’t see that sort of feedback, people don’t seem comfortable writing it, so you get scores of 1s and 2s without any explanation. I commented on his blog, things bounced back and forth and it was very useful, to me anyway). So don’t hold back if you hated something, it’s the only way we, as presenters, will know what we need to improve. Don’t hold back the praise either ;)
