Has CitiBank scared you? Want to learn more about securing ASP.NET?

Last month I was rather pleased to welcome Troy Hunt into my little band of Developer Security MVPs. He’s been doing a bunch of blog posts on the OWASP Top 10 list for ASP.NET developers. Check them out, he’s almost finished. Technorati Tags: MVP,Security,OWASP,ASP.NET

The book cover, second draft

I was emailed the second draft of the book cover today, which makes it scarily real. But not half as scary as what Oliver did with it. Ah the MVP community – we’re a tight bunch of nits … Technorati Tags: Wrox,Book Cover,Books,ASP.NET,Security,MVP

Think "marketing", but with the short skirts and good legs. As such, certainly in the UK, they’re well known and "loved" by the user group community (well, they come speak to us for free; they have to, it’s their *job*). One of the UK DPEs is leaving us; his last appearance is this week at Fest08. The community is obviously sad to see him go (but it does mean that there...

Identity versus Persona; lies on social network sites.

Friday and Saturday saw the annual UK MVP Open Day. Aside from the excellent presentations (and the sulk at being accused of heckling by Colin) a thought and conversation I’d be having with a wee blonde lass all week was proven. I had been receiving a large amount of grief for not being on the social "networking" site facebook and a bunch of people threatened to create an account in my name on there; so I ended up making a pre-emptive strike. This nicely illustrates the problem of identity versus persona. My argument (for Maz) is that we don’t have...
